Rossetti Family
Vincent ROSETTI was one of the original deep-sea fishermen who fished from Cabbage Tree Bay at Norah Head NSW. Vincent and his wife, Selina (known as Lena) (formally PRICE nee JOHNSON) lived with their children in a shack built on the edge of the beach at Cabbage Tree Bay, which is now the location of one of the concrete ramps of the Norah Head Search and Rescue Club.
He fished from the late 1800’s until his death in 1950. During that time Vincent and his son Santo, together with Billy LEE and his son and the GARNETT family of Parramatta built, by hand, the original Rock Pool at Cabbage Tree Bay NSW - it has since been enlarged by Wyong Shire Council.
Lena continued to live in their house after Vincent’s death but moved in with her daughter Edith and son-in-law Douglas SMITH in 1956. The shack was later demolished and used for extensions to Edith and Doug’s house at Gorokan.
